Angel from Chicago, IL

I have overcome homelessness. Help me reacquire my small business materials!

I lost most of my materials in storage while I was homeless during the last year. Now that I have stable housing, I'm eager to start working again.

Overview

I am a 50-year-old man with a passion for designing. In the third grade (age 7), I saw Diana Ross at Mahogany and decided to be a fashion designer. After high school, I moved to Chicago for design college and have designed clothing for multiple charity shows. And now, life has happened and I feel like the charity.

My goals are to reinstate my corporation and start designing my collection to be able to show it to major department stores. This of course takes money.

I need $700 as seed money. I lost 75% of my materials in storage while I was homeless over the last year. Now that I have stable housing, I'm ready to jump back into my career.

Meeting this need will help me because I will be able to legally reinstate my corporation. I will also be able to purchase some materials to start on my collection.

Angel has been a client at Center for Changing Lives since summer 2014. His dedication has paid off in amazing ways-- Angel overcame homelessness and now has his own apartment. We are working on finding him employment so that he can re-build his design company. Angel is spirited, passionate, and a friend to all. I can't wait to see where his creative pursuits take him.
