Stacy received the bedding that she needed for her boys.  She was very grateful and thankful for the support.

Thank you from Stacy Nov 6, 2012

I'm very excited to have been approved by your program. I really don't know what to say. I do but I don't know how to say it. My children and I are very thankful for the generosity of your help and kindness. This will be a good present for them, that they finally can sleep on beds. Thank you very much from the bottom of my heart for helping me out, in the time of need and lifting this stressful situation off my shoulder. I am grateful and thankful and thank you again. Thank you for having this program that helps us parents with our situations.

I am very happy to say that Stacy has been funded and I would like to thank her sponsors for making this happen for this family. I know that they are very happy about this need being met. It was great for me to find out that this family had been funded and knowing that there is so many good people out there!

Overview

I need beds for my two boys. This includes sheet sets and pillows for the beds.

My current situation is I am a single parent on a fixed income. I am helping my mother that has been divorced for a year and she has no income. With my fixed income it's hard to afford to purchase the kids beds.

Meeting this need will help me because then my kids don't have to sleep on the floor. They would have something comfortable to rest. I would feel much better that they don't have to sleep on the floor anymore.

Right now, my biggest challenge is now my income is not going well. I work as a waitress and it's been very slow and my tips have reduced significantly.

Meeting this need will help me achieve future goals because I tried to find resources that would help my family situation. This will be one more stressful issue off my chest if this goal is met.

I have tried to be a good mother and provide them with their needs. But sometimes we need help and have found someone to give me a hand. I feel that I am not alone. It was hard for me to reach out and ask for help. I felt embarrassed to ask, but by doing this I can help my kids and myself to move forward.

I live with my two boys. I think of myself mostly as a independent mother who strives to do the best I can, with my eight year old and my two year old.

I'm most proud of being able to provide for my children to the best of my ability. I work and have my own place. And my children are happy and healthy.

I went to school at Evanston Township.

I've worked at jobs including cashier, customer service, waitress and translator.
Something interesting about me is I have tried my best in what I can do in life. I am a good mother, daughter. Trying the best to teach my kids good values and to be the best they can be.

Need funded!

Thank you for helping Stacy fund this need.

I have known Stacy for two years now since her young son started at one of our nursery schools. I talk to Stacy on a weekly basis. She attends parent meetings monthly.

I think meeting this need is important because Stacy is a single parent who is working a part time job and really tries to do everything that she can for her two children. I know that she would really appreciate the help. She just cannot do this on her own at this time. She will feel much better that her boys are not sleeping on the floor.

This will move the recipient's life forward by Stacy not having this worry and being able to move forward with other things that she is trying to do. Make her feel that she can do whatever she set her mind to do, and know that help is out there in the world.

Stacy is a single parent of two boys. She is one who follows up on everything and is always trying to learn new things. Right now, she is trying to learn the computer.
