Working part-time and training for a new career. I need a laptop to move my family forward!

I'm training to become a Surgical Technologist while providing for a family of 6. A laptop will give me the flexibility I need to earn my certification.

Overview

I am a 49-year-old head of household with six dependents. Unfortunately, in the last two years I have been laid off twice due to re-structuring of the company. Currently, I'm working part time doing any side jobs that come up while at the same time attending to Surgical Technology School.

My goals are to finish training for a career, find a permanent job were I can help other people and be successful. Also, I want to be able to provide to my family.

I need help to get a laptop for school. Currently I go to the library and we are only allowed to be there for a couple hours before they close and it doesn't give me enough time to finish my assignments or projects. I do not earn enough through my side jobs to afford a laptop.

Meeting this need will help me because it will cut down my traveling time & gas to the Library and be able to advance more in my program with their requirements. I will be able to learn more and be more competitive in the job market.

I meet Cisco while he was going through a partner program through my agency for training assistance in the medical field. He has remained in contact once he was assigned to me and has shown his dedication in completing his Surgical Tech program. His days are limited in going to school full time, traveling to the library to use their computers and looking for work to bring in extra income. A laptop would be beneficial for Cisco since it would allow him the time to complete his assignments and also to take care of his son and family.
