Cassandra from Chicago, IL

Single parent with a disability. Uniforms will help me get my son into high school.

I'm determined to get my son the best high school education possible. I need help purchasing his school uniforms and covering student fees.

Overview

I am a single parent between jobs. I am currently disabled and taking care of a teenager who is also disabled. He is graduating from 8th grade and we are so excited to have him enrolled at Noble Academy for high school.

My goals are to set my son up for a successful freshman year of high school. Although the charter school has some additional fees, I believe it will provide him with the structure and safety that will help him to excel.

I need help paying for his uniforms, which he will be able to use throughout high school. Additionally, I need assistance to fund his student fees for this freshman year until I obtain employment. This funding will also enable him to get a head start on gaining credits by making it possible to enroll him in a summer math and reading preparation class and summer band lessons.

Meeting this need will help me because it will prove to my son that he is equipped and prepared for school and reduce his anxiety about distractions of costs and money concerns. His education is of the utmost importance to me. Your help would assist me to provide him with the best shot.

I have been working with Cassandra for roughly a year now. She balances so much and is still always on the look out for ways to enrich her son's education. I strongly believe she can overcome any barrier that gets in her way in regards to helping her son succeed in school. This funding would help her and her son get a head start on his high school success.
