Parenting + in job training; need winter clothing for my children

I need uniforms and winter coats and boots for my kids. Until I complete my job training program and start working, my kids need some essentials.

Bart and his family are very grateful to all of the kind people out there who donated money for his kids' winter clothing. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Bart can focus on his welding training, finding a job and providing a better future for his family without the worry of their immediate needs.  - Emily, validator

An update from JARC and the Benevolent Team Dec 21, 2012

Bart appreciates the four generous supporters who helped fund winter clothing for his children. Validator Emily says: "It's great so many of our students have had needs met, they appreciate it so much!"

Both the validators and recipients from Jane Addams Resource Corporation will personally update their supporters once they are back from their holiday break.

The Benevolent Team

Overview

This includes my two sons' uniforms for school, coats for winter, and boots for winter.

Meeting this need will help me because this will help take care of my kids until I go back to work.

I always wanted to provide my family with a good living situation and work hard and have a positive attitude. Meeting this need will help me achieve future goals because with this need met, I can concentrate on my training and getting a job. In the future I want to move my family into a house so my kids can play in the backyard.

My current situation is I am out of work and in a job training program. Until I complete the program and start working, I need to get my kids some essentials.

I think of myself mostly as a great dad, loving husband, provider, humble, positive, and self-motivated.

I'm most proud of my kids doing well in school, my wife doing good in her line of work, and my kids being healthy and strong.

I live with my wife of 11 years and three beautiful kids - two sons and a daughter.

I am going to school at JARC to become a welder. I've worked at jobs including parking attendant, machine operator, sales rep, security officer, and a material handler.

Something interesting about me is I enjoy reading books, playing video games, playing sports, and traveling.

I have a positive attitude and am a good father.

Bart came to JARC because he wanted to learn a valuable skill so that he could return to work. He is focused on learning what he needs to in order to provide for his family. He began our welding training program at the beginning of this month.

I think meeting this need is important because Bart is concerned about meeting his children's needs. Bart is currently out of work and he is worried about making sure his kids have everything they need for school and the cold weather.

If this need is met, Bart's children's needs will be better met. It would also mean that Bart and his wife would have less stress about providing for their children, and Bart could concentrate more on his training and job search.

Bart is trying to be the best father he can be and think about his children's long-term well-being. He is in training so that he can obtain career-path employment and provide for his family.
