Thanks from Wiliter Dec 12, 2018

(translated to english)- you are very generous for helping to get me started with my business. I have started buying used clothes to sell in my village. I have already started selling some clothes and feel very proud to be a business woman. I will be able to better care for my children and hopefully have enough for their school fees. thank you for supporting me and for believing in me. Bless you and bless your families. I will never forget your generosity.

Overview

My name is Wiliter and I am a 21-year-old wife and mother of two. My children are 2 years old and 6 months old. When my second child was born the labor was blocked and very difficult and I ended with a tear inside me (called an obstetric fistula). I could not control my urine and feces and was leaking all the time. I was in pain and the smell made me feel deeply ashamed. I recently learned about what a fistula is and I got surgery to fix it. Now I am dry and healthy and I want to work to support my children.

My goal is to have a small business where I sell clothes. I learned business skills after my surgery from an organization called Beyond Fistula and I want to use my skills to earn an income. I own 1/4 acre of land where I will set up my shop.

I need funds ($160) to purchase merchandise (used clothes) to start my business selling clothes to my community.

Meeting this need will help me because I have the skills and the motivation to earn an income for my family, I just need the funds to start the business. Once I have started, I can use the profits buy more merchandise and also to feed my family and start saving money for their school fees when they are older.

Wiliter is a strong woman who attended the business skills and farm skills training at Beyond Fistula with her 6 month old child. She was motivated to learn skills in order to start her own business and also to farm more effectively to feed her family. She has very little and is ready to make the most of her situation. She has a connection with a used/donated clothing distributor and is confident that she can choose clothing that will easily resell in her village.
