"Thank you for giving with a good spirit to me and my family. I will use the generous gift to make money for my children to go to school. Thank you. God bless you." - Jemima
Overview
My name is Jemima and I am a wife, a mother of three children, and an obstetric fistula survivor (severe childbirth injury). My children are 11, 6, and 4. My last labor was difficult and I ended up with an obstetric fistula (a hole inside me). I was in pain and I leaked urine and feces uncontrollably for 4 yrs. Earlier this year I finally had surgery to repair my fistula but then I was paralyzed for two months afterwards. Now I am healthy and I am not paralyzed anymore. Before my fistula I had an M-Pesa business where I helped people do money transfers. M-Pesa is a popular way to transfer money and pay bills in Kenya using your mobile phone. I also had a small kiosk business where I sold sugar and rice. Now that I am healthy I want to buy another M-Pesa machine to restart my business so I can help provide for my family and pay for school for my children.
My goals are to buy an M-Pesa machine and restart my businesses - doing money transfers with the machine and selling sugar and rice at the kiosk.
I need funds ($180) to buy an M-Pesa mobile payment machine ($90) and buy supplies to start up my kiosk business again selling sugar and rice ($90).
Meeting this need will help me because with an M-Pesa machine and funds to restart my kiosk I can get back to my life before I had a fistula. I want to earn money to pay for clothes and school fees for my children, like I was doing before I got injured giving birth.
Need funded!
Thank you for helping Jemima fund this need.
