Rose from Eldoret, Kenya

Need help covering transporation to my next semester of vocational school.

After my final surgery, I will be able to start my healing process. Just a small amount of funds will help me keep going to school.

Thank you for believing in me Dec 12, 2018

You helped me so much with keeping in my studies. I feel like I will get my dreams now and before when I had fistula it was so far away. I promise to work hard and honor you for believing in me, and to help others like you helped me though we don't know each other. Thank you. God bless you and your family.

Overview

I am a vocational student and fistula survivor in Kenya. I have had surgery to fix my injury but I need another one in order to be healed and finish school.

My goals are to finish my education. I had to drop out when I got a fistula. When I got my first surgery, it partially healed my fistula and I was able to return to Ancilla Vocational School where I am a student now, learning sewing/tailoring skills. This is a much needed skill in my village.

I need help with transportation costs to attend school and assistance with buying books, notebooks, and pencils for my next semester of vocational school. This is $100 for the year.

Meeting this need will help me because once I have my next surgery and I am not leaking anymore, I will be ready to be totally committed to my studies. Having transportation funds, books, notebooks, and pencils is all that stands between me and graduating from vocational school and getting a job. I am determined to make something of myself.
