Leola

Leola from Chicago, IL

Getting my high school diploma; I need a laptop to keep up with school work.

I volunteer and mentor, and I'd like to be a motivational speaker for youth. With a laptop, I can take notes, complete assignments, and get my degree!

Overview

I am a volunteer and mentor, a speaker, and an alumni at Above and Beyond Family Recovery Center. I started coming to Above and Beyond in 2017. A friend of mine named Aetna told me about the program. The counselors and staff that work here are amazing, loving people.

My goal is to get my high school diploma. I am currently in school at Senior Jean Hughes Adult High School at Michael Barlow Center.

I need a laptop to help me with my homework and classwork. I need help taking notes, writing papers, and completing assignments.

Meeting this need will help me because I can obtain my goal of getting my high school diploma. Once I obtain my high school diploma, I would love to be a motivational speaker for the youth.

I have known Leola since the beginning of my employment and internship at Above and Beyond. Leola will be the first person to welcome new people as they begin their journey in recovery. Leola has been vocal about wanting to pursue her education. She is always helping others to find the best in themselves and to never give up on their goals. She strives to always be honest and tell the true, and it would be great to see her get help to achieve her goals.
