Overview
I am a 43 year old unemployed woman. I am a single person trying to accomplish a lot of things that I put on hold due to having children, being a full-time housewife and mother.
In order to do that, I would need to complete my education.
I want to go back to school and earn an associate's degree in Social Work. My ultimate dream is to write urban and children books and complete my education.
In order for me to fulfill these needs, I would need a laptop and internet for my apartment. This would allow me access to resources online so that I can finish my GED and apply to schools for my degree. In this day and age everything is computerized and technology is the future.
Meeting this need will be enough to afford a refurbished laptop for $250, with enough left over to pay for an internet connection for six months. This will help me finish my GED, earn a degree, and seek employment. I am also hoping it will possibly let me complete my first book (with few more to follow)!

I have known Ally for the past nine months as her Probation Officer. She is trying to obtain a laptop so that she can progress in doing positive things in her life. She needs assistance in getting a laptop so that she will be able to search the websites on line and obtain information to help her achieve her goals.
