Help me get the materials to get started selling baskets to support my family.

I need $300 for materials to make the baskets. I will need to get the Kenyan Sisal plant fibers.

Overview

I am a 31 year old fistula survivor, mother of three, and wife. I developed a fistula during childbirth and suffered through the symptoms of leaking urine for around 2 years. After three separate surgeries, they were able to repair the fistula. I took a basket-making workshop after my surgeries and would love to use my skills to help support my family, financially.

My goals are to be able to make an income by making and selling baskets. After taking the basket-making workshop, I want to use my skills to help financially take care of my family.

I need $300 for materials to make the baskets. I will need to get fibers from the Kenyan Sisal plant.

Meeting this need will help me because I have the skills to create baskets, now I just need the materials to start making them. Once I have the materials I can start making an income to help support myself and my family. After 2 years of awful symptoms and three surgeries, I am ready to get back on my feet to feed and clothe my family.

Lucy is a high-spirited 31 year old fistula survivor. She is a loving wife and mother of three. Lucy lived with awful symptoms of leaking urine for 2 long years and survived 3 surgeries to repair her fistula. She is now living symptom-free, and after taking the basket-making workshop, she is ready to start making an income. I am fully confident in Lucy’s abilities and I know that when she receives the materials she needs she will be successful.
