Lisa was able to find a really nice crib on sale and lots of baby items to provide for her son.  She sends her letter of thanks and shares a picture below.

I am very happy to say thanks to VERY CARING PEOPLE my need was met. By this need being met my baby will not longer have to sleep in the bed with me which put his safety at risk. He will now sleep in a safe environment that will put me, "protective mom," at ease.

Overview

I need a baby crib and supplies for my newborn to help us through the winter. This includes a baby bed, a bumper set, diapers, winter items such as onesies, a coat, clothing, hat, gloves, and booties.

My goal is to provide a safe environment for my family and newborn in particular. Meeting this need will help me because my baby will have a safe place to sleep and it will be one less hardship to worry about.  A new crib and winter supplies will allow me to redirect my finances to other needs within my family. 

Getting this need met would be a huge blessing to my family and will pray that whoever helps me be blessed for their kindness and giving.

My current situation is I am a single mom working part-time and trying to manage a DTE bill, phone bill and water bill. I would like to transition into a full-time work position but in the meantime I have to manage my bills on a limited income to provide for my family. Payment of these bills leaves me with a very limited amount of funding for other general needs.

I live in Detroit.

I'm very kind-hearted. I love to laugh and come from a Christian background. I'm doing my best to be a productive citizen and take care of my children. I have four children: two sons and two daughters. I'm most proud of my newborn. He gives me so much joy.

I met Lisa when she was assigned to my case load. I think meeting this need is important because it will allow her child to have a safe place to sleep and reduce the amount of stress she currently has in providing for her family, specifically this winter. Lisa is trying VERY hard to become self sufficient in raising her family. She is proactive in seeking help when needed and identifying what can help her do so to ensure she is able to provide.
