I would like to thank the nice person who helped me to get the money for my cap and gown for my graduation. I cant wait to wear it when I graduate college on December 19th this year.
Overview
I'm currently enrolled in college and will be graduating with my Bachelor's in December. I'm getting this degree to provide a better future for my children and me. I need to pay the fees on November 20th in order to graduate from college this December. This includes $35 for the commencement fee and $40 for the cap and gown.
Meeting this need will help me because I will be able to attend the graduation ceremony and experience this joyful moment for me. I did not graduate High School so this will be my first official graduation plus it means a lot to me that my children can actually see me graduate.
My goal is to become a children's therapist and in the future, I would like to create a counseling center for people of all ages with a school for children who have gone through trauma with no regards to the amount of income families receive. Graduating from college will be the first step towards my future goals.
My current situation is that I have a part time job that is limiting me to pay my bills and provide my children with everything they need. This is the reason why I decided to go back to school and get my degree in Liberal Arts.
My family has gone through so much but we have managed to survive. Graduating from college will be the first step towards a better future for my family.
I'm from Chicago, IL. I've lived here most of my life. I live with my grandmother, my mother, my brother and his child, my four children and my granddaughter.
I'm most proud of that I'll be getting my Bachelor's degree in December.
I'm happiest when I go places with my children that are fun for them. I have five children and a granddaughter whom I love so much. My 2 oldest daughters are in High School. My third daughter is going to graduate eight grade. My oldest son graduated High School and he is currently working. My yougest son is in grade school and has gone through a whole lot in his young life.
Something interesting about me is that I love Psychology and Photography.
Need funded!
Thank you for helping Amber fund this need.

We met when Amber was referred to me by her son's therapist about a month ago.
I think meeting this need is important because this means that Amber will be able to graduate from college which is a huge accomplishment for her. Meeting this need will allow her to attend her graduation ceremony and have her children be there for her. She wants to be a role model for her children and wants to show them that anything is possible.
Amber is such a joy to work with. She is very dedicated to her family and just wants the best for her children.
