I’m in transitional housing and working part time. I need clothing for my job and the cold winter.

My goals are to stay employed and warm, and get my own place. Clothing to be professional at work and a warm coat for the winter will help me succeed.

Overview

I need help with clothing, including shoes, pants, shirts, and a winter coat. Meeting this need will help me because I will have the proper attire for the season because the weather is getting cold and I have to travel to San Francisco.

My current situation is that I live in a Transitional Program. I also have a job. I am working toward getting into my own place soon.
My goal is to stay employed and to stay warm. It’s very important to look groomed and to continue to aid in my development and professional growth.

I'm from Richmond California. I live at Berkeley Food and Housing's Transitional Program. Something interesting about me is that I coach Cheerleading and Dance. I'm happiest when I spend time with my 2 year old niece. I'm most proud of my ability to persevere and to over come obstacles.

I am a hard worker and a very caring person. I also like to give back to other people that have helped me in the past.

We met when she entered our Transitional Housing Program in May, 2013. I think meeting this need is important because once Amirah entered our program she was on top of things. She has goals she wants to accomplish and one of them is getting out of transitional housing and obtaining permanent housing.

If she doesn't have the proper attire for work, it would be difficult for her to stay motivated to continue going to work because San Francisco weather is unpredictable and it can become really cold during the winter nights.

Amirah is a very hard worker, she is responsible, and no matter what she is faced with, she is resilient. And also she is a very nice young woman.
