Emad from East SF Bay, CA

We are a recently arrived family and we need winter clothing and a bed to help us get settled.

I hope to start work soon, but right now need clothing for my children and pregnant wife and a bed.

Overview

I need furniture, winter clothing. This includes winter coats, sweaters, pants, shoes, prenatal clothes for my wife, and a bed. Meeting this need will help me because my kids will be happy, my wife will be happy, and I will be happy that we can get these items. It will mean a lot for my family.

My current situation is that I arrived to the US in April 2013. I have used all my savings to pay rent and buy food, and I do not yet have the money to buy these items for my family.

My goal is to find employment - I have already received two job offers - to settle into the United States, and provide for my family.

I'm from Syria and moved to the United States recently, and I live now in Pittsburg, California.  I'm happiest when my wife and children are happy and I'm most proud of my family, who I love and care for.

I have three children, two boys and one girl, my wife is pregnant and we are all excited and waiting for the baby!

We met when Emad came to ask for resources through our Day Labor and Worker Program two months ago. I think meeting this need is important because this is their first winter in the United States and his children need clothing, his wife needs maternity clothes and a bed.

Emad is doing the best he can to look for resources and help, it is a challenging time for his family and we hope that we can help him with this need until he can get back on his feet.
