Overview

I have been in the United States since 2004. In 2013 I took a CNA class at JobTrain so that I could go back to work and help my family. Currently I stay home to raise my 4 children while my husband works.

My goals are to find employment as a Certified Nurses Assistant and contribute to my family income.

I need to learn how to drive in order to find work. My permit will expire in July and I cannot afford driving lessons at this time.

Meeting this need will help me because I will learn how to drive and therefore can find work to help my family.

I met Mohini while she was attending school at JobTrain for CNA. After she graduated, she returned to JobTrain looking for work but then we realized that one of her barriers to working is reliable transportation. She is not able to get to work because she doesn't know how to drive and has been trying for a long time to get a valid driver's license. While her husband works, Mohini takes care of her 4 children and would like to help them even more by going back to work. Mohini is hard working and dedicated to reaching her goals. Any help is appreciated.
