Overview
I am a 22 year old single mother of three children. I am trying to better myself for my kids. In February I went back to school and received my GED, now I am ready for something bigger.
My goals are to find a job as a Nursing Assistant but first I need the training. I just moved and have very little income so I cannot afford to pay for the classes.
I need help to pay for training classes to become a Certified Nursing Assistant; a position I feel is in demand. I enjoy helping people so I feel I will be very good at it.
Meeting this need will help me because I will be able to support myself and my children with more income. This job could hopefully lead to a career in health care and I can work long term in the field. I want to secure my future and be an example for my children.

I met Erika when she entered into the Shelter Plus Care housing program here at COTS. From the beginning she stated her goals of wanting to return to school for training and was very interested in becoming a health care worker. As a case planner I work with clients to help them achieve any goals that will move them forward. I see nothing but potential in Erika, she is young and driven by a passion to learn and be a stand up mother to her children.
