Overview
My name is Demetria and I am 43 years old. I moved out of the homeless shelter and now I live in Hamtramck with my three children and I work at the non-profit called The Empowerment Plan.
My goals are working on getting my GED to further my education. Most importantly, I want to set a good example for my children about the importance of education and making healthy, positive life choices.
I need help with the initial car payment. I have already traded in my old car to cover some costs of this new vehicle.
Meeting this need will help me because it will provide me with reliable and safe transportation. Professionalism and punctuality are extremely important to me and I would love to be able to get a safe car to be able arrive to work on time. Additionally, it will allow me to drop off my kids at summer school and be a good role model. After this initial payment, I have set up a budget and concrete plan to pay off my future car bills.

I have know Demetria through working at the non-profit The Empowerment Plan. During this time, I have personally worked with Demetria and have seen Demetria grow into a confident, independent, and inspiring woman. She always has a positive attitude at work and is an amazing team leader. Demetria is always the first to volunteer to help others.
I think meeting this need is extremely important because it will help Demetria have reliable and safe transportation. Demetria is determined to get to work everyday and is extremely hard-working and I know that she having her own car will help stabilize her life and will ensure that her children get to school on time. She is hopeful for a bright future for herself and her children and your help will be much appreciated!
