Sweety from Detroit, MI

Finally housed after homelessness & abuse. A bed will help me build a stable home.

I recently got my own place after being homeless, but I don't have anything. I must show that I can provide a stable home for my daughter.

Dear Donors, I am on my way to getting my life back on track. I had a home but didn't have any furniture. Thanks to this site I was able to purchase a bed. I am currently in school and looking forward to a brighter future. Building a home and a future for myself is the first steps to getting my son back. Thank you to everyone that helped me. I will continue to push forward striving to be the best me. Thank you to this site and its donors and everyone involved.

Overview

I am a 33 year old. I lost my baby in the system, was raped, and have been abused by my child's father. I'm fleeing an abusive relationship after five years.

My goals are to save money to get my baby back. I also plan on going to school to become a business owner so my daughter will have a better life than myself.

I need a bed. I have recently got my own place after being homeless and don't have anything. I must show that I can provide a stable home for my daughter in order to get her back.

Meeting this need will help me because I realize I wasted a lot of time around negative people, but have learned my lesson. I really need a bed for a better night sleep. Being off the floor will allow me to further focus and to better myself for my daughter.
