Felix from Detroit, MI

Unemployed but already interviewing for jobs; Furniture will help build a stable home

After becoming housed, I was laid off & was unable to buy furniture. Help with this need will help me focus on job opportunities & educational goals.

I am a 56 years old with a background in sales. I'm currently looking for work. I have very promising opportunities and have had several interviews.

My goals are to become gainfully employed again to secure my future. I would like to make my house a home but I currently do not have any income.

I need a set of mattresses, a couch and a dinette set. Shortly after I became housed, I was laid off. I was unable to buy furniture for myself.

Meeting this need will help me because, once I become employed, I can save money to buy a car. If Benevolent donors are able to assist me with making my house a home, I can focus on job opportunities and educational goals.

I have known Felix since he started the program here at COTS. The program is designed to provide homeless individuals with housing and services to assist them with becoming self sufficient. I work with Felix by providing him with job leads and job training resources. I believe that he will be working very soon, he is actively pursuing employment.
