Overview

I recently transitioned into an apartment from a shelter after a year of homelessness. While I was homeless I lost a lot of my things due to moving around a lot. Now I am finally starting over in a stable place and need help making my home into a home.

My goals are to become more self-sufficient and independent.

Cooking ware, dishes, a microwave and a hot plate will allow me to be able to fix my own meals and become more self-sufficient, while a mop and cleaning supplies will help me to keep my new place clean and tidy. Other household items like curtains will help cover my windows of my new apartment and will help keep out the cold air during the oncoming Chicago winter.

Meeting this need will help me because these items will allow me to more fully transition into my new living arrangement and make it sustainable.

She has shown a tremendous willingness to learn and advance through graduating from Inspiration Corporation's 4-week long Employment Preparation Training course which takes place every day of the week for four hours a day.
