Overview

I am a 51 year-old man who has been in the customer service field for over 15 years. I was laid off two years ago and am looking to expand my skill set.

My goals are to find employment in the IT Help Desk field and finish my degree in Information Systems. I enrolled in Center for Changing Lives' CompTIA A+ Certification class this month to work toward this goal.

I need to pass the CompTIA A+ exam to get the certification required to enter the Help Desk field. I received a scholarship to enroll in the class, but because I have no income right now, I am struggling to come up with funds to pay for the $175 exam fee and transportation to and from class.

Meeting this need will help me because it will make me more marketable to employers. I will be able to find a job I need to get me back in the workforce.

The program is designed to teach participants all the skills they need to ace the A+ certification exam, allowing them to enter the exciting field of Information Technology.
