Overview

I am happy to say that I am newly housed in an apartment after facing homelessness for some time. I am currently working at two part-time jobs in the foodservice industry. As my video portrays, I have experience in film and stage acting. I have acted all around Chicago and you may recognize me from a 1990 Dick Tracy McDonald’s commercial.

I was born and raised in Chicago and am excited to move forward in this wonderful city with the stability of my new apartment.

Although the physical apartment was a great start, I am in need of furniture and houseware to create a space where I can continue to improve my life. Getting a bed is my priority, but I also am in need of a table, chairs, pots, pans and other housing basics.

I truly appreciate all of your support. Having these things will ultimately increase the quality of my life through peace, stress relief and happiness.

Wendell originally became involved with Inspiration Corporation through the Employment Preparation Training; a 4-week job readiness workshop. When I met Wendell for the first time, it was obvious that his good humor and optimism help him to complete his goals in life. I always look forward to our meetings because I know they will be productive as well as embellished with many good-natured jokes. After recent hardships, it is so exciting to see Wendell obtain an apartment and I cannot wait to see the future success that he will have with his new found stability.
