I am a mother of four looking to get back into working as a Nail Technician. After losing my job in another state and moving to Illinois, I am hoping to get back on my feet and provide for my family as we move into a new apartment.

My goal is to reinstate my Nail Technician license in the state of Illinois. Having my license will move me forward toward achieving my dream of opening a mobile nail salon that will help others who have been in my situation.

I need 20 continuing education credit hours to get my license. I have found classes that will help me meet that requirement, but my wages from my part-time job are not enough to cover the registration cost.

Meeting this need will help me because I will be able to work as a Nail Technician in the state of Illinois. From there, I can gain capital and experience, and with the help of my community I should be able to open my mobile salon.
