Kumari passed her notary public exam! Mar 8, 2016
Laura, Kumari's validator, just reached out with an INCREDIBLE update! Kumari took all of the notary public classes in February and just received a letter informing her she passed the exam! Thank you to everyone who helped fund Kumari in this endeavor.

Overview
I am a Sri Lankan and US citizen. Before coming to the USA, I had 18 years experience as a lawyer. Now in the USA, I have recently received my paralegal certification so that I can begin building my career here.
My goal is to find employment, preferably as a paralegal or in clerical work at a law office. This would allow me to build my legal career in the USA and secure permanent housing.
I need to become a notary public to become more competitive in the job market. With my experience in addition to being a notary public I would have a excellent chance of getting hired.
Meeting this need will help me because it would give me an edge over others applying for the same positions as well as open up more job opportunities. Additionally, once I am employed, I will be able to get my own apartment.
