Shedell

Shedell from Chicago, IL

Working toward my degree. With ONE security deposit I can overcome homelessness!

I am hoping to find stable housing so that I can continue to work on my educational goals and graduate college.

Overview

I am a person that is eager to learn and I have been working on my college degree. I am currently working with my case manager to find stable housing and continue my education as I am currently working on a memoir about my life.

My goals are to write a book! I am hoping to find stable housing so that I can continue to work on my educational goals and complete my memoir.

I need $300 for a security deposit on an SRO (single room occupancy).

Meeting this need will help me because the security deposit will cover a month of housing while I save up to continue paying rent.

We have worked with Shedell closely for about a year. He has been working diligently on his health, education, and housing goals. Shedell is eager to get back to school, however his laptop recently broke and it is not fixable. Purchasing a low-cost lap top would assist him in continuing his schooling and completing his memoir which is his ultimate goal. Additionally, with $300 to put down for housing he could save in order to maintain stability. With stable housing he would be well-rested and be able to focus more specifically on his long-term goals.
