Diana from Eldoret, Kenya

I want to support my family as a hairdresser; I need $250 to lease a space!

I've taken vocational classes and I only need $250 to lease a space and buy equipment. I want to take advantage of my health and support my child!

I am a 22 year old mother of one, wife, and fistula survivor. When my child was born the labor was difficult and I was left with a painful fistula that made me leak; I was ashamed. Now I have had surgery and I am healed and dry.

My goals are to open my own hair dressing shop. I am taking a vocational training course in hair dressing and beauty through a program called Beyond Fistula, and when I am finished I want to earn income with my own small business.

I need $250 to lease a space for my shop and buy my own tools.

Meeting this need will help me because I have learned the skills I need and I am motivated by the need to provide for my child. All that I need is the money to begin my business.

Thank you for helping Diana fund this need.

Diana has a wonderful attitude! She brings joy to our hairdressing vocational classes, and for this reason, among others, she has great potential to make a successful hairdressing business. Diana is very driven to own her own business and to raise her baby well. She will go far.
