Overview
I am a 28 year old fistula survivor. I was impregnated at age 16 and had a very long and difficult childbirth. It left me in pain, and I didn't know what was wrong. This year I finally learned that I had a fistula and then I had surgery to repair it.
My goals are to earn income by sewing. I am healthy now, and not limited by my fistula. After surgery, I completed a vocational program in tailoring with an organization called Beyond Fistula, and now I am ready to make my living with sewing.
I need $150 to buy a sewing machine.
Meeting this need will help me because I have the skills to earn an income with sewing, I just need a machine of my own to get my business off the ground. I am ready to support myself after 12 years of living in pain and not knowing what was wrong.
