Jacqueline from Eldoret, Kenya

I'm ready to expand my farm. With help, I can buy chickens and seeds.

I've recovered and I'm ready to build on my experience farming & selling eggs. With supplies to expand, I can earn enough to send my kids to school.

Thank you for helping. With the help I will have chickens and seeds. Then my income will be better for my children. We are grateful, grateful. God bless you.

Overview

I am a 27 year old mother of two, fistula survivor, and wife. After I gave birth to my first child, I had a lot of pain. I didn't know what a fistula was, so I didn't get it treated. I became pregnant again and bore my second child, then learned that I had a fistula and had surgery to repair it.

My goals are to increase my business selling eggs and farming. I have been earning a small income this way, but not enough for two children to go to school soon.

I need $200 to buy chickens so I can sell their eggs and to buy seeds and fertilizer to grow crops. I feed my family with the crops, and then sell the excess, along with the eggs, at the market.

Meeting this need will help me because right now I don't have the supplies (chickens, seeds, fertilizer) to earn enough money at market to support my children. We eat what we grow, but we need money for clothes and school fees. A few chickens and seeds will help me take my earning to the next level and give my children a better life.
