I'm a single parent on disability; I need furniture for myself and my daughters

I need furniture for my children and me. This includes a pull-out couch, bed, loveseat, coffee tables, and blinds.

My goal right now is to be the best mother I can be for my daughters. Meeting this need will help our apartment feel like a home that my daughters and I can enjoy living in. We've gone through so much and having furniture will help us be able to live together in peace.

Meeting this need will help me because I will really be blessed, first of all. It will help me a whole lot because I will be able to feel comfortable. I will be able to focus on other things. This will be a burden lifted off of me. I will feel less stressed out about not having furniture. If I have a let out couch, the two girls will have a bedroom, and it will be comfortable for them. I don’t want my older daughter to feel like she’s confined to one room, and not have to sit on the floor.

I am a single parent on disability. I dropped out of school because I got pregnant with my daughter and right now I’m just trying to make it. I only have $730 a month and that is not enough to spend on furniture.

I will really appreciate it if my need is fulfilled and I will be very grateful.

I'm a single parent with an infant and a 13 year old daughter. My older daughter is a special needs child and she works very hard to get good grades in school. She’s going into eighth grade this year. I'm most proud of being a good mother.

I'm from Chicago. I live with my two daughters. I'm happiest when I'm with my daughters.

Something interesting about me is that I'm funny. I make people laugh!

We met when Dominique was in the midst of looking for housing about a year ago.

I think meeting this need is important because Dominique is working hard to raise her two young children on her own. She is on a fixed income and cannot afford to buy furniture on her own. Getting furniture will help her and her children live comfortably.

Dominique is a very warm person and wants the best for her family.
