Overview

My home was washed away by a huge flood a couple of years ago and we lost everything. I recently separated from my abusive husband and am a mother of 6 children. My husband was the sole breadwinner of the family. Unfortunately, due to family poverty, I dropped out of school. I have not been able to obtain a job for several years. The fact that I did not complete my schooling is severely limiting my opportunities.

My goal is to start a small business retailing coal or firewood. Many families here purchase and use coal or firewood for cooking/preparing meals each day. This is a reliable fuel source. Starting a small business like this is the best way for me to earn a living. I also need help with renting a place on my own as I am currently living with a friend.

The funds will help me purchase firewood wholesale and also rent a store to keep the firewood dry in case of rain. The funds will also help me rent a small apartment for me and my kids.

Meeting this need will provide a much-needed source of income. My kids and I will have a place of our own. It will help restore my dignity and help me adequately feed my children
