Overview
I am a 44-year-old single mother. I’ve been trying to back into the workforce. I am a survivor of a major health condition, which impacted my ability to take care of myself and family for many years.
My goals are to find employment, preferably to work from home, due to my health condition. I have a child that has virtual learning and I am dedicated to ensuring he has the appropriate support to meet his educational needs.
I need a laptop to fill out job applications and when employed do work from home tasks. I will also use this laptop to engage in job training related programming.
Meeting this need will help me because this is what is standing between me and getting employment. Working will help me set the foundation to move forward and establish stability for me and my family.

I have known Mary from The Women's Project. She is working with us as part of an alternative to incarceration mandate. In our program, we create a plan of care related to economic stability, wellness and community. As part of Mary's plan she would like to reenter the workforce. We are currently working together on her resume and applying to jobs. However, it has been a struggle to connect virtually, which is why Mary needs a laptop to connect to virtual for job readiness and employment. Mary has been persistent and dedicated to this employment goal for herself and family.
