Isabella: "We thank you" Nov 9, 2021

Thank you kindly for giving for my family. Now with your generous giving I will start grocery business. I will pay my children's school fees thanks to you for helping. Blessings on your good heart. I am grateful, grateful.

Overview

I am a 41 year old fistula survivor, widow, and mother of four - three boys and one girl. In 2014 I gave birth during the rainy season and the roads were flooded so I could not get to the hospital. I ended up giving birth at home and the obstructed labor left me with a fistula. The social stigma of the fistula has been terrible, I don't go anywhere, even church. A flood also destroyed my home but a stranger offered me a bit of property where I constructed a hut to live with my family.

My goals are to start up a grocery business to provide for my family. I have no income right now but I learned skills for this business from an organization called Beyond Fistula.

I need $440 to buy grocery inventory and to rent a space for my business.

Meeting this need will help me because when I am earning money I can provide food and meet basic needs for my children.

Isabella is a dedicated mother and a very strong person. Her fistula has caused immense suffering - she has been shunned from social gatherings for years because of the stigma. Isabella is committed to providing for her children, and she has real hope in her grocery business. Beyond Fistula will continue to support her as she gets her small business started and moves toward supporting her children fully.
