Overview

I am a mother to two beautiful children that are my world! I am a participant in The Cara Program and just made 7 months on the job with as a Sales Representative at a medical related call center. I have dreams beyond this job though, and in the next year want to move up and pursue a teaching degree.

My goals are to stabilize my family and become an elementary school teacher. I am working with a local nonprofit that actually helps young people without college degrees who volunteer and help with their local neighborhood schools get their teaching certificates. Once I make a year on the job at my current place, I plan to make progress on my education.

I need a computer. This will help me be ready to start my classes towards my teaching degree and will also be of assistance to my kids who could use the technology in the house. Because they get free lunch, we'll also be able to get cheap internet which will connect them to the world outside our city.

Meeting this need will help me because I am simply not in the place to save for anything beyond necessities. My husband is legally blind which limits his job opportunities and our financial situation is tight.
