I am the Program Director for VOCEL's Child Parent Academy and pilot program Powered by VOCEL. VOCEL's, which stands for Viewing Our Children as Emerging Leaders, believes that every child has the right to a foundation that will allow him/her/them to learn, grow, and lead and provides free quality early childhood education to children 0-4 years old and their caregivers. Our work centers the relationship between children and their caregivers and we provide two generation classes, adult discussion and support spaces, and supplies to support thriving children.
In managing the teachers and family support specialists that make our classes happen, I get to see families grow together and support one another. I love seeing the power of people.
