Presently at AACI's Center for Survivors of Torture on one-year contract as an intern. Provides psychotherapy and case management services to survivors of torture (who are refugees, asylees, asylum seekers, immigrants, US citizens) from all over the world. Ten years in community mental health, including working with refugees, immigrants, native-born, LGBT, and persons of all ages and belief systems with trauma, anxiety, multiple health problems, HIV, addiction, relational issues, loneliness, and a host of other human struggles. I am privileged to receive someone's trust to share his or her story, develop therapeutic relationship, and to assist the individual (and sometimes, the family) journey towards a state of well-being that we all deserve.
"You yourself, as much as anybody in the universe deserve your love and compassion." --Attributed to Gautama Buddha
