Migdalia

Migdalia from Chicago, IL

A new bed and nightstand will help me focus on getting my degree and finding work.

My bedroom furniture was damaged by fire; with fixed income it is hard to replace. With a new set I will sleep better and work toward a degree & a job!

My need and situation

I am a considered disabled, however, I don't let that get in the way of improving myself. I am in the process of attending the Center for Changing Lives Office Careers training to obtain a full-time position.

My goals are to obtain a full time job in the clerical field or as an administrative assistant. I am two classes away from obtaining my associates degree and I hope to have my degree by next year.

I need a bedroom set because I recently had a fire in my apartment. Fortunately I am now back in my apartment but my bedroom set was smoke damaged.

Meeting this need will help me because I am on a fixed income, and cannot afford to buy it at this time. Getting a new bedroom set would help tremendously because I would be able to get proper rest and focus on my other goals!

I have been working with Migdalia for over a year; in that time she has accomplished a lot! But after recently experiencing a fire in her apartment she is having a little bit of trouble focusing on other things. While she has bounced back, she is still in need of a bed set. Having a new bed would allow Migdalia to rest easy and start taking classes again so she can obtain her Microsoft Office Certification!
