Giselle

Giselle from Chicago, IL

I'm a mom ready to go into real estate. Just need help with the cost of my licensure.

I work to show my children that education is the key to success and I am excited for the opportunity to lead by example.

My need and situation

I am a single mother of two children who are currently attending schools on merit scholarships. I have achieved a long career in cosmetology, but due to a recent ongoing separation I have had to reassess whether a career in cosmetology would fit the economic and time needs of my family.

My goals are to earn my real estate broker's license and transition to a successful career in real estate. I work to show my children that education is the key to success and I am excited for the opportunity to lead by example.

I need the funding requested in order to enroll in my pre-licensure course and obtain study materials as well as register and sit for the Illinois Broker exam.

I am passionate about pursuing a career in real estate and I know that this decision will help me to be available and connected to my children as they grow while also working toward long-term economic stability. Now that my children are settled and thriving in their new schools, the cost of obtaining a license is the only barrier in my way to achieving this goal. I am hoping to complete my course and exam before the children finish their academic year.

I have been working with Giselle toward her goals of economic stability for 5 months and I am truly impressed with her perseverance and her clear care for her children. Giselle puts the needs of her children first and will do anything to be sure they have all the resources they need to be successful. Achieving her broker's license will not only help to solidify her children's futures but also allow her to take steps towards her own personal goals. I have no doubt that she will be successful in her course and exam preparation as she is dedicated to any goal she takes on.
