Richard

Richard from Far Rockway, NY

I'm 19 years old & working on my high school diploma. A new bed will help me focus!

I need a new mattress and bed; the springs on my current mattress are damaged and the bed is being propped up. This will help me stay healthy!

My need and situation

I am a 19 year - old student. I currently work temporally in Marshalls shopping center through Summer Youth Employment program and I am looking forward to graduating with my high school diploma in December 2019.

MY goals after graduating is to enroll in a vocational training school for engineering.

I am in need of a new mattress and bed as the one that I currently own is ruined and is uncomfortable due to the mattress springs being damaged and is being stabilized by an Xbox electronic device. My bed has caused me to lose a great deal of sleep as I am often woken up throughout the night, due to then mattress being uncomfortable. It has been hard to obtain a new one, as my parents are experiencing financial hardship. We currently live in a NYCHA housing development and rely on governmental assistance to make ends meet. I would really appreciate the opportunity to be able to obtain a new bed, where I will be able to get a good nights rest.

Meeting this need will help me because it will allow me to live a better quality of life and allow me to be able to obtain adequate amount of sleep which will allow me to wake up in the mornings well-rested and motivated to achieve my goals.
