Thank You! Kenard picked up his bus passes & he's starting his job search. Apr 10, 2015
Kenard stopped by the EDSSC yesterday to pick up the first of his three months' worth of bus passes. He was so thrilled to start his job search and already has a couple of leads! He wanted to extend his thanks to everyone who made this purchase possible!
Overview
I am a 47 year old father and grandfather. I'm currently living with my daughter and her family, and helping to take care of my grandkids. I'm a cook by trade and I'm constantly looking for stable employment.
My goals are to find a good-paying job and help out my daughter as much as possible. I also have diabetes and congestive heart failure, so I'm doing my best to see my doctor as much as possible and live a healthy lifestyle.
I need three months' worth of bus passes to look for work and to commute to and from doctors' appointments.
Meeting this need will help me because having better access to reliable transportation will let me find a good job and make sure I get to my doctors' appointments on time. My daughter just became unemployed, so it's really important to find a job and help her family as much as possible.
Need funded!
Thank you for helping Kenard fund this need.

I have known Kenard for two years through our case management program. He has been one of our most eager participants and is so vocal about the support he has received from the EDSSC to get him reunited with his family. Kenard is kind, hardworking, and constantly supports his family as much as he can. Fulfilling this need will mean he can better access health services and help his daughter with bills and daily needs.
