Overview

I am a single mom going to school to get my Comp TIA A+ certification to get a job in the IT field. I have a seventeen-year-old daughter who is also in school and I've been homeless for the last two years.

My goals are to finish the IT program and get a steady job, so that I can maintain stable housing. I want to keep my daughter and me on our feet.

I need a bus pass to get to class, as well as a winter coat, gloves, and boots to keep me warm on my commute. There are four weeks left in class and I'm running out of savings. I won't be able to finish the class if I can't make it in! After completing the class, I need to take the qualifying exam, which costs another $200, another expense that I can't afford.

Meeting this need will help me because I will be warm, I will have transportation to get to class, and I won't have to worry about how to get back and forth from where I'm staying. Once I finish the class and ace the test, I can't wait to get to work!
