Overview
I am a single mother and a former ward of the state. I am trying hard to build a stable life for my kids. We have an opportunity to move into an apartment, but when need furniture.
My goals are graduate from YouthBuild and become a healthcare worker. I'd like to attend nursing school at a local community college and eventually become a CNA.
I need furniture for my family. Our current furniture is broken down and contains roach and mouse feces. I would like to buy a mattress and a couch so we have a clean and safe space to sleep and sit every day.
Meeting this need will help me because I will be able to provide for my family and not worry about unhealthy living conditions.

I have been working with Rashonda for the past several months. She is dedicated to improving her life and the lives of her kids. She attends my Health Care Bridge program and is working towards going to community college. It will be easier for her to focus in class if she know that her children have a safe living environment.
