Amy from Evanston, IL

My 2-year-old and I finally moved into our new apartment! Now we need furniture.

I need furniture and things for my apartment so I can focus on saving to be able to go back to school this summer.

Overview

My current situation is I have a 2 year old daughter and finally moved into our new apartment. I work a part time job and we don't have anything for our apartment. We really need help getting some things for the apartment because right now, I'm unable to afford furniture and things needed for my apartment.

Meeting this need will help me because I know I cannot afford furniture and things needed for my apartment at this moment. By me getting this help, I would be able to save some money and be able to use any extra money I make towards school, which I plan to start this summer.

I'm most proud of being able to get my own apartment for me and my daughter.

If I can get any help with these things, I'd really appreciate it. Thank you so much.

Right now, my biggest challenge is I'm trying to look for another job so I can pay my bills and get things needed for my apartment.  Meeting this need will help me achieve future goals because I can try to find another job to help me pay for school instead of trying to find another job and getting belongings for my home.

I think of myself mostly as a young adult trying to get my life on track and go to school so I can better myself and do a lot for my daughter and give her a better life.

Something interesting about me is I'm a hard working individual just trying to achieve my goals.

I live with myself and my 2 year old daughter.

I went to school at Wheeling High School.  I've worked at jobs including Old Navy and Help at Home.

I have known this mom for the last two years and it has been a pleasure working with her; Amy is a single parent raising a young on her own. Amy is currently to make ends meet but needs some extra help to buy household items. Every time she saves up she has to use what she saves for something else.

I think meeting this need is important because it will give mom the daily things that she needs that we take for granted, such as plates, cups, silverware, pots, pans, and a microwave.

This will move Amy's life forward by by supplying them with some simple things that she will need in life. Then mom can move forward on saving other things that will make a difference in her life and the life of her child.

Amy just will not have to worry about trying to supply the simple things in life and she can plan to save for bigger and better things for her and her child. I would like to thank you again for meeting this need.
