Sheldon

Sheldon from Chicago, IL

I'm SO CLOSE to getting my IT certification. Bus passes to class will get me there.

I need reliable transportation in the form of a buss pass to be able to finish my CompTIA A+ certification program and start work in the IT field.

Overview

I am a 23-year-old IT student in the Center for Changing Lives A+ certification program. The A+ certification is an entry level IT certification. I will be completing the program in about a month and a half.

My goals are to get the CompTIA A+ certification, so that I an have a career in the IT field. I want to start with that first entry level job, and eventually gain more IT certifications so I can advance in my career.

I need reliable transportation in the form of a buss pass to be able to keep attending class so that I can complete the program, and start looking for work in the next few months.

Meeting this need will help me because I will be able to be more focused on the material I am studying, and not have to be concerned with how I will get to class everyday.

I have been working with Sheldon around his certification and employment goals since February of 2017. In that time Sheldon has been committed to coming to class everyday m-f for an intense training program. The program is 34-weeks long and Sheldon is at the tail end, gaining access to reliable transportation would ensure that he is able to finish and begin his career in IT.
