Overview

I am a 58-years-old. I am in the process of re-entering the workforce after being being stricken by an illness that prevent me from working. I am currently taking classes at the Center for Changing Lives to rebuild my skills and confidence.

My goals are obtain a full time position as an administrative office assistant. I also want to continue my education in acquiring my associate's degree, and hopefully my bachelor's, then master's degree.

I need a laptop in order to more effectively look for jobs, email reference, and to ensure success as I plan to return to school.

Meeting this need will help me because I would be able to obtain and respond to job leads more quickly, and respond to emails in a timely manner. And once I am in college again, I would be able to use the laptop to complete my course work.

Dolly has been working with the Center for Changing Lives since March of this year. When she came in she was ready to begin the class and extremely excited, unfortunately, due to a family emergency had to postpone her start date until July. Since July, she has been in class on time daily, with an eagerness to learn the material. If Dolly were to receive a laptop, I know it would move her forward on her emplyment and educational goals.
