Adrian from East SF Bay, CA

I’m graduating high school and want to go to college, but I need money for the applications

I will be the first in my family to attend college to pursue a pharmaceutical career. My parents support this, but do not have the funds to help me.

Overview

I need money to pay for my college applications, including full payment to pay for the applications for four different universities. Meeting this need will help me because it will lead me to a good path in life. It will mean a lot to my family and myself to be something better in life. I will also be given the opportunity to not limit myself from only applying to one school, and get more options.

My goal is to attend higher education to pursue a pharmaceutical career and help others in need. This will give me an opportunity to have a stable job and help my family.

My current situation is that my father is working two jobs to be able to pay for our house bills. Although my parents are strong supporters of me continuing my education, they do not have the funds to help me to get to school.

I am currently working at a community center. Although I get paid to work there, I enjoy working with the youth and help guide them to a healthy lifestyle.

I'm from Concord, California, where I live with my family. Something interesting about me is that I am good in science. I'm happiest when I spend time with my family. I'm most proud of being the oldest brother, where I put a lot of effort into showing my siblings through a good path.

I will be first in my family to graduate from high school and the first to attend a university.

We met when we had our first orientation in September for our tutoring program, Go Get It! It's your future! I see Adrian and his brother on a weekly basis and I've seen how united the whole family is. Adrian has a lot of potential and a bright future.

I think meeting this need is important because Adrian has worked very hard to get to where he is. I don't think he should shy away from applying to more schools because he does not have the funds for it. He is a great student and I know he will be doing great things if he is given the opportunity.

Adrian is looking to pursuing a pharmaceutical career in hopes of making great products that will help with their treatments. He dislikes that companies are looking into making money by convincing people to take products that assume will help, but will instead do more harm and shorten their lifespan.
