I'd like to thank you for assisting me in getting a jump start on my education/career. Now I'm able to work and study from home while still being a present mother and wife. My biggest fearwas falling short on my goals and feeling like I could have done more. Because of you I'm a step closer to where I feel I'm meant to be. Thank you for being a part of a dream come true.

Overview

I'm from Garden City, Michigan and live in Detroit. I am currently seeking employment but in the meantime am taking some online classes to better my chances of getting a job. I am a proud mother of three beautiful daughters and am happiest when I get to learn new things that benefit myself and my family. I am also an optimist and I strive to see the good in everything.

I am currently in school for my LPN but eventually I'd like to own my own business. Meeting this need will allow me to complete a lot of my classes online as well as have a place where I can write and save my stories. Something interesting about me is I have a passion for writing and a strange thirst for knowledge.

I need a laptop with Microsoft Word. My goal is to gain stability through self employment.

My current situation is I am a single mom taking care of my three children, striving to get back on my feet and further my education and eventually purchase a home. I am currently out of work due to health complications but to ensure that I stay active and am bettering myself, I have headed back to school. I believe that if I create a better future for myself, this will in turn help make things better for my children as well.

I met Alicia when she started working with the Finance Center to improve her financial situation.

I think meeting this need is important because it would assist her with being able to take classes online as well as launch her small business in the future.
