Overview

I am a Bosnian refugee, torture survivor, displaced from my home town in 1992. I was injured at work as caregiver in the USA. Currently I have only a small income from Social Security.

My goals are to improve my English skills and to learn some basic office skills. I want to find job which does not require heavy lifting, since I have been injured during work.

I would like to improve my skills and be able to find job. I need laptop for ESL and Office Assistant classes.

Meeting this need will help me because I will do my homework, searching for job and for communication with my family member who are living all over the world

I have been working with Rose since November 2013. Rose was working as caregiver, and got injured during the work. Rose was not aware of her public assistance eligibility until she came to AACI CST fort help. She has applied for SSI, and currently has only limited income and her daughter for support. Rose needs laptop to learn new skills and be able to get retirement as a US citizen. Rose is working toward her education and deserves big support to achieve her goal.

My job title is Case worker. My work involves helping clients with basic needs and linking them with available resources. And providing rehabilitation to reduce stress. What I like about my job is helping people to become self sufficient.
