Kenard from Chicago, IL

From homelessness to housed & employed! A bed will help me rest for work.

After 15 years of homelessness, I have finally turned my life around and am now staying with family. A bed and frame will help me as I move forward.

Updates

Kenard found a job! Jul 1, 2014

Chicago Lights sent us an exciting update from Kenard:

"Kenard called me this morning to share he recently found some temporary work downtown! He’s very excited about this new opportunity and hopes it will turn into a full-time position."

Overview

I am a 46 year old who loves to cook and spend time with my family. Since participating in the Community Collaboration Project at my agency, I have turned my life around.

My goals are to continue to build a relationship with my family and to support myself.

I need a bed (mattress and bed frame), now that I finally found a place to stay with family.

Meeting this need will help me because I've been homeless off and on for 15 years. Getting a bed will help me to finally feel settled with my family.
