Chicago Lights sent us an exciting update from Kenard:
"Kenard called me this morning to share he recently found some temporary work downtown! He’s very excited about this new opportunity and hopes it will turn into a full-time position."
Overview
I am a 46 year old who loves to cook and spend time with my family. Since participating in the Community Collaboration Project at my agency, I have turned my life around.
My goals are to continue to build a relationship with my family and to support myself.
I need a bed (mattress and bed frame), now that I finally found a place to stay with family.
Meeting this need will help me because I've been homeless off and on for 15 years. Getting a bed will help me to finally feel settled with my family.

Kenard has been one of our most eager participants throughout the year and is so vocal about the support he has received this year to get him reunited with his family. Kenard is kind, hardworking, and on the brink of turning over a new leaf with his new living situation and rekindled family trust.
