Overview
I became homeless in 1983 when my grandmother died and her property was sold. I just celebrated my 60th birthday and it's been too many years since I've had my own apartment.
I am currently staying at a homeless shelter and through PATH was able to obtain a Section 8 Voucher. My goals are to find a place to live and keep my health up.
I am in serious need of financial assistance to help pay for move-in costs such as security deposit and household items like furniture & appliances. I have a portion of the security deposit saved, but it's not enough to cover everything.
I'm a little nervous thinking about how living in my own apartment would be like, but I know it will be 100% better to have my own place. I don't ever want to be back on the streets again - that's why I want to find a place I am comfortable moving into.

I met Daryl in November 2013 through my role as Outreach Navigator at PATH and have worked closely with him since he entered PATH's shelter program in May 2014. Daryl, whom I've known to be a caring and appreciative man, recently obtained his Section 8 voucher and would greatly benefit from your support.
